Root Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on Galaxy Note 2 N7105
If you have updated your Galaxy Note 2 to official Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, then you would to root your Galaxy Note again since you have lost root with update.
Here we are with a tutorial to help you root your Galaxy Note 2 on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Before you proceed, make sure:
You have installed your Galaxy Note 2 USB drivers on your PC.
You need to enable USB debugging modewhich is deactivated by default.
You smartphone should have 70-80% charge remaining.
Your Galaxy Note 2 N7105 should be factory unlocked.
Last but not least, backup your important data like Call logs, SMS and other data in stored in phone memory so in case if anything goes wrong, your data is not hurt.
How to Root Android 4.1 on Galaxy Note 2 N7105
Step 1) Download Root Android 4.1.1
Step 2) Download ODIN v1.85
Step 3) Turn OFF your mobile and go to Download Mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down + Home Buttons together for few seconds followed by Power button until you see Android logo with triangle on screen.
Step 4) Now open ODIN on your PC and connect your Galaxy S II to your computer.
Step 5) Once your phone is successfully connected to your PC, the ID:COM box on ODIN will turn yellow and will show the COM port number.
Step 6) Select the downloaded file to install by following below steps:
Click on ‘PDA’ and select the file ‘CF-Auto-Root-d2tmo-sght999.tar.md5‘.
Step 7) In ODIN, check the Auto Reboot and F.
Step Next you need to click on the Start button in ODIN to start the installation process which would take few minutes to complete.
Step 9) After the installation is completed, your phone will reboot into Recovery Mode automatically.
That’s it. You are done!
